Adaptive quarantine in Ukraine will be extended until August 31
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended the adaptive quarantine until August 31, 2020. The government made the corresponding decision at a meeting on July 22.
“Depending on the epidemic situation in the region or individual administrative-territorial units – areas, a green, yellow, orange or red level of epidemic danger of the spread of COVID-19 is established. The level is determined by automated software based on certain algorithms and collected data and is approved by the National Commission for TEB and Emergency Situations, ”said the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov.
At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Health Maxim Stepanov noted that even for the “green zone”, certain quarantine restrictions continue to apply.
“All criteria are developed on the basis of our experience and the experience of Western partners …“ Green zone ”does not mean a complete lifting of quarantine,” Maxim Stepanov emphasized.
Therefore, we are talking about such a quarantine for the “green zone”:
- in public buildings, it is mandatory to wear a mask or respirator;
- holding mass events can take place subject to the stay of no more than 1 person per 5 square meters;
- cinemas must be no more than 50% full;
- passenger transportation should be carried out only for passengers in seated places.
According to the decree, a region with a widespread of COVID-19 is considered one in which there is at least one of the following signs: the
- occupancy of beds in healthcare institutions designated for hospitalization of patients with a confirmed case of COVID-19 is more than 50%;
- the average number of PCR and ELISA tests is less than 24 per 100 thousand of the population during the last seven days,
- the detection rate of cases of COVID-19 infection is more than 11%;
- the rate of dynamics of growth of cases of infection with COVID-19 is more than 10%.
Depending on the level of the epidemic danger of the spread of COVID-19 on the territory of the region or individual administrative-territorial units, appropriate restrictive anti-epidemic measures are applied.
Note that the new decree applies to the period from August 1 to August 31, 2020.
