During the event, students gained practical experience in communicating with their industry colleagues and feedback from potential employers.

At the workshop, Phoenix Contact has introduced a new Programmable Logic Controller – PLCnext and many other new products for the development of Industry 4.0.

From KNURE, Klochko Oleksiy presented the project “Monitoring of personnel in hazardous areas at work”. At that time, Golikov Maxim presented a “Smart Board” project with gesture management that has practical applications for building a Smart Home system. The coach of the KNURE team is a senior lecturer at the DOED department, Galkin Pavel, who trained the KNURE team in the framework of the Xplore New Automation Award 2018 contest, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and was launched by the headquarters of the German company Phoenix Contact and held once every three years. . The main objective of the international competition is to gather teams of students from universities around the world and give them the opportunity to present their innovative ideas, which in practice can help solve current problems.

“Phoenix Contact Ukraine” on June 7 also held its partner day, which represented 10 teams of universities – participants of the Xplore competition. The close communication of the teams of teachers and students with market professionals, a rich business and cultural program, excellent conditions for communication – all together, it made a strong impression on team members and contributed to the development of business relations.

The event was held with the informational support of the Association of Industrial Automation of Ukraine, where KNURE comes from 2013. From APPAU it was noted that “Phoenix Contact” was the first to accept the challenge “Fight for Talents” – systematically and professionally.
