Nationwide quarantine has been extended

The government extended the terms of a nationwide quarantine in Ukraine – it will last until May 22, 2020. This decision was made today, May 4, 2020, during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kyiv.

“The government’s decision provides for the weakening of certain quarantines from May 11. Ukrainians will be able to go to parks and squares again, earn hairdressers, wholesale and retail trade in non-food products will be allowed. However, for schools, everything will remain the same – they will conduct distance learning and prepare for the end of the school year “, – explained the acting Minister of Education and Science Lyubomira Mandzii.

The school year in schools across the country will end remotely. The training calendar will look like this:

  • classes will last until May 31;
  • the school year should be completed by July 1;
  • By June 15, schools are completing the registration of certificates of basic secondary education; evidence of achievement and timesheets;
  • during June, schools on pedagogical councils consider transferring students to the next class.

Graduates of 11th grades will receive a document on education after compiling the STA in the form of UPE. If students in grades 1-8 and 10 do not plan to study in another educational institution, schools will send copies of documents to students by e-mail, and the original documents will be issued in September 2020-2021 of the school year.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Science reported that this year the state final certification for students in grades 4 and 9 was canceled.

In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease COVID-19 in the 2019/2020 academic year, the Ministry of Education and Science recommends refraining from holding public events, in particular, recent calls and graduations.

Recall that participants who live in another area or at a distance of more than 150 kilometers from the educational institution will be able to change the location of the UPE.
